This one day excursion is a visit to the Alpujarra, from the very last Muslim lands of al-Andalus.
Witness millenary olive tree plantations, terraced mountains networked by al-suqiya irrigation systems left behind by the Muslims.

During the day we will introduce you to the valleys of the Alpujarras from Granada and firstly ascend while viewing the small white villages many still holding their old Muslim minaretes in place, which we can view from a distance. We will explore into one of these mountain villages in order to gasp the influence of the clever irrigation systems and more so, the natural mineral water springs of the area. After a morning in the heights we will descend again into the main village of the area, Orgiva where we may enjoy a meal at the already famous 'Cafe Baraka'. A place where we will definitelly get a 'taste' of the Alpujarra and it's particular yet picturesque atmosphere.
